Ads to boggle the mind...

Apparently an Austin-area auto dealership displayed some poor judgment and ran the following print ad: Click here for a bit of an un-PC surprise.

The mind boggles.

Aside from the possibility that the manager who placed the ad is a hopeless racist, one can only imagine how the ad was placed. Was it created as an internal tasteless joke and accidentally sent to the printer? Or, heck... maybe the manager was trying to sabotage the dealership. The possibilities are endless.

The dealership has issued an apology of sorts.

Due to comments which went utterly off the tracks in a previous post, I was recently reminded of the McDLT, McDonald's burger sensation which existed based solely on the idea that America was not going to McDonalds enough because our tomatoes and lettuce were the same luke warm as the burgers.

What none of us recall was that it was Seinfeld thespian Jason Alexander who set out to make things right for us.

I believe that Heath Heik, Mac's son, went to HS with JMD.

That should've been Heath Haik.

I'd be happy to believe that ad copy like that gets in nowadays because the younger generation does not connect such phrases to racist definition because we have evolved past it, and the words mean exactly what they said.

I would like to believe that to be true, Sleestak. I really, really would.

I'm sure it's a personal choice, but I wonder what went into the decision to put the cheese on the 'cold' side of the burger. Not that I needed any more reasons NOT to purchase a McDLT...

Just to be clear, this whole discussion of the McDLT got started because Weedo said he had a "cool" side, right?

Its less that you don't have a cool side, but more that you have a cool half.
